Feeling stressed? You’re not alone. The world is a scary and stressful place right now and, when you have kids to teach and mouths to feed, life can feel a little overwhelming at the best of times. There’s nothing wrong with acknowledging that you’re a little (or a lot) stressed and trying to find some coping mechanisms.

People have been feeling stressed from the beginning of time, so there are many tried and tested methods of relief. So, what can you do to try to eliminate stress?

Embrace Spirituality

Spirituality is an open term for believing in something bigger than ourselves. Being more spiritual can greatly reduce stress because you take the time to focus on your thoughts and feelings. Some people find it highly beneficial to speak to a psychic or medium (via mediumchat, for instance).

Here, you can get advice and guidance on the things that are causing your stress. You could also try meditating, which allows you to reduce brain chatter and clear your mind. This can be very beneficial before you go to bed and will help you to sleep better.

Arts and Crafts

You might already be feeling overworked and overtired, and the thought of adding arts and crafts to the mix might seem unrealistic. However, there’s something incredibly soothing about taking time out and physically making something, like these balloon stress balls.

Allowing yourself to be creative and use a different part of your brain will hugely help to reduce stress. The end result doesn’t matter. It’s the process of reducing your stress and clearing your mind that’s important. So, don’t worry if you don’t have the best artistic eye.

Relaxation

We all know that we need to spend more time relaxing. But it can be difficult to unwind in a bubble bath when your kid’s knocking on the door and there are chores to be done. If you’re feeling stressed, it’s important to take a little time for yourself.

This might mean the long bubble bath, but it could also mean going for a good walk or reading a book. If you’re worried about finding the time, try to schedule it into your week. Relaxation should never be a luxury; it’s essential in reducing stress and making your life manageable.

Reduce Clutter

It’s easy to feel stressed when your house is full of mess. No one can relax in an environment full of clutter. We feel overwhelmed by the number of things around us and worry about getting the time to tidy. So, to eliminate stress, it’s important to eliminate clutter.

This means having regular clear outs, tidy-ups and keeping your space well-organized. If you find it gets cluttered very quickly, you might need to consider getting better storage space or taking some things you don’t need to a charity shop.

Also, don’t forget that it is everyone’s responsibility to clean up after themselves. Don’t let your lazy partner or kids get away with doing nothing.
