How Many Chemicals Do You Put On Your Body Each Day?
It’s amazing how we can be so in touch with our health in some ways, but overlook others.
The average woman puts 515 different chemicals on her body each day. From shampoo to eye-liner, it’s truly scary when one takes a deeper look at the ingredient list of the products we keep in our bathrooms.
I think this image helps bring home the message. We do not need to poison our body in order to look beautiful. Just look for products that use natural ingredients. Look on the back. If you don’t know what it is, don’t buy it.
You’ll definitely have to venture out and try new brands since the well-known ones are known for including chemicals in their products.
Be picky in which products you choose! Where you put your money is a vote to the kind of world you want to live in. It’s your body and you deserve to be healthy, happy, and beautiful!
Here are some of my favorite organic and cruelty-free companies:
Gourmet Body Treats: An organic make-up company that’s perfect for women with sensitive skin. Their products are never tested on animals, they are 100% eco-friendly, certified vegan, and contain no synthetic chemicals.
Lafe’s Natural Crystal Organic Deodorant: I have been using it for two years now, works amazingly well and lasts FOREVER. There is no official website affiliated, but it’s sold at any Whole Foods or natural store. You can also find it on drugstore.com.
Alba Botanica: They have my favorite shampoo and conditioner. It smells delicious! I think it works just as well as other products, especially the volumizing line. They carry other products too including lip, body, face, and sun care.
