Karina Smirnoff Taught Us How to Get Fit and Healthy at JCPenney’s New Year, New You Event

I recently attended JCPenney’s New Year, New You! event in New York City. They debuted their new fitness collection, offered dance classes instructed by Karina Smirnoff and Henry Byalikov from DWTS and had a Registered Dietitian teach us all about making our own fresh-pressed juice.

First, the new JCPenney activewear collection is amazing! It’s affordable, fashionable and quick drying. Perfect for yoga, running, spinning and of course, dancing.



Two, Karina and Henry’s dance class kicked my butt! I got extremely sweaty in under 15 minutes. We did a mixture of Zumba, Kickboxing and Hip Hop. For the cool-down, we did ab work. My abs ached like crazy for two days!


Finally, to help all the attendee’s recover from their workouts with Karina and Henry, Registered Dietician, Melissa Petitto was creating delicious and healthy juices and smoothies.

Since juicing has grown in popularity over the past few years, it’s no wonder all these juice companies are popping up all over the country. Unfortunately, many of these companies sell their juice for about $10 a bottle. Talk about pricey! Instead, consider making your own juice at home.
