Posted 1 year ago by Amanda Raye
Flowers have finally bloomed, seasonal-shops have opened their doors again, stores are starting to sell swim wear, and pharmacies are starting to run out of Claritin. All that could only mean one thing, it’s Spring! Now that the weather is nicer and the scenery is more beautiful, what are you going to wear? Keep reading to see what’s trending in fashion this Spring!
Pastel colors are back again. If you can’t afford to buy a pair of pastel jeans, skirts and shirts this season, try just buying pastel jewelry instead. A bold pastel necklace and a pair of pastels earrings won’t do as much damage to your bank account. We’re loving the spring collection at T + J Designs. The Mint Pretty Bauble necklace ($16) is our favorite!
It makes finding things a lot easier! Find one for under $20 at Forever 21.
Pair them with cute oxfords, a printed top and a high waisted skirt. The blogger below knows where it’s at.
We haven’t seen this trend in over a decade but wether you like it or not, it’s coming back.
They’ll make any outfit pop! Find an affordable pair at either ASOS or h&m.
The leather trend is still going strong! Be even more adventurous by rocking a dark blue pair of leather pants. Just like Khloe! Find a pair for under $100 at Piperlime.
Nude and Neon Shoes
The combination of the two is just so sexy. Go edgy with pumps, or cute and simple with flats. We love this pair from Jellypop!
Polka Dot and Star Printed Jeans
They’re both adorable and go with everything. They’ll also make a boring “jeans and t-shirt day” less dull! Find an affordable pair at Macy’s or Necessary Clothing.
Be the talk of the town with these “almost too adorable” sunglasses — a-morir started a great trend. The originals are $300 but you can can get a pair for less at ASOS or Urban Outfitters.

Trend Alert: High-Top Sneakers
Posted 2 years ago by Amanda Raye
Isabel Marant has officially started a trend with her Willow shoe. Aka, the high-top sneaker wedge! Not a fan of heels? Regular high-tops are just as trendy.
This trend has taken Europe by storm, and has just recently made its debut on the New York City streets. Get the lift you desire while sporting a casual look, or opt for the regular flat version. Either way, you’ll be stylin’. The more bright and loud the colors are, the better.
Unfortunatly, the Isabel Marant pair start at a whopping $760. Luckily for us broke fashionistas, ASOS has saved the day. Find a pair of wedge high-tops for only $82 on their website.
Other options for a wallet friendly wedge sneaker:
Nike’s ‘Dunk Sky Hi Liberty’ Hidden Wedge Sneaker: $130
Modcloth’s Heigh and Seek Wedge: $90
ASOS DENY Wedge High Top Trainers With Suede Detail: $82
If you’re not a fan of the wedge, check out Aldo for a funky pair that won’t hurt your feet. If you want to avoid the funk factor, stick with the traditional Converse. Try a pair in white, they’ll go with everything you own…even that LBD!

Trend Alert: Metallic Jeans
Posted 2 years ago by Amanda Raye
I happend to walk by Rag & Bone earlier today and what did I see in the display window? Metallic jeans! At first I wasn’t 100% positive I liked them. But sure enough, a girl in Soho was rockin’ a pair in gold. Will this be the hot new thing this summer? They’re perfect for a night out, and will definitely make you stand out in a crowd!
Rag & Bone Metallic Jeans
Let the jeans do all the talking. Pair them with a simple black or white top and simple yet sexy heels. Add a black blazer for a more professional feel. If you don’t care for the jeans, try a pretty metallic skirt instead!
Just Cavalli S/S 2012
Marta of Dear Diary
Balmain Paris S/S 2011
Where to Buy
To find a Broke & Chic friendly pair you’re going to have to keep an eye out. H&M and Topshop would both be great places to start. If you’re okay with spending more than $40 try ASOS, Zara and Joe’s Jeans. Happy shopping!
