A Glimpse of Sperry Top-Siders New Spring 2013 Collection
Posted 2 years ago by Amanda Raye
Sperry Top-Sider recently launched their Spring 2013 collection…and we’re in love. In the past, we found Sperry was meant for the preppy girl (or guy) who liked pretending they lived in New England.
Now, while they’re still known for their nautical look, Sperry is branching out more than ever with highly fashionable options. Their new Delancey shoe and original boat shoe in woven turquoise won us over:
Yes, they’re on the pricey side. But as you all may know, we’re advocates for spending good money on shoes and saving money on items like shirts and pants, as well as anything to do with hyped-up trends.
When it comes to shoes, you must strive for comfort — especially if you’re on your feet a good portion of the day. Quality shoes can last for years, while cheap ones will only get you through a few months of regular wear. Read: “The Difference Between Cheap and Expensive Shoes.”
Broke & Chic got a sneak-peek video of their new women’s collection:

Trend Alert: Slipper Loafers
Posted 3 years ago by Amanda Raye
Over the past few weeks I have seen the fashionista’s of Soho rocking the infamous slipper loafer. What was typically only in the closet of your business minded father and the late Michael Jackson have now entered yours!
Have these shoes become the new ballet flat? And are you okay with that? I am; they are like walking on pillows, but still look cute with my LBD! Double win!
♥ Where to Buy: If you’re looking for a good quality shoe that’ll last you for seasons, I recommend the Madee shoe at Steve Madden. They’re between $60-$120.
Want to be nicer to your bank account? This is an old trend that is making a comeback, so thrift stores will be filled with them! You might find a great pair under $10!
