Kitchen tables are sometimes the most cluttered area in the house – whether I’m using it for extra space when baking, dumping all the grocery bags before putting the produce away, or, like the photo below shows, just using it for a bit of office space.
Here are some ways to decorate your kitchen or dining areas that’ll allow you to do all those things, while keeping the space cute and stylish.

1. Go Bold
Bold doesn’t necessarily have to mean bright yellow furniture – though if that’s your bag, go for it! Sometimes, just some unconventional furniture can really make things pop. This pub-style table, which I found a surprisingly good dupe for on the Staples site, of all places, elongates the height of the room, which is perfect for a smaller space.
2. Get Benched
Uhh, who would have thought that eBay would have some amazing decor inspiration? This is actually a dining set that they sell, which looks like it comes from anywhere OTHER than eBay, if I’m being honest. Benches in dining areas have been a pretty big trend recently, but they can be a touch uncomfortable, so a cushioned one is a safer bet.
3. White Out
The Scandinavian design aesthetic is pretty enviable, with all of its sleek edges and cool colors. What better way to bring some Sweden into the home, than in the kitchen! The white table is anything but basic, but still allows for the focus to be where it needs to be – on the food, of course!
4. Thumbelina’s Kitchen
We’re staying with the Swedish theme for this next one, but is this not the cutest little nook you’ve ever seen? This is super tiny and should probably be reserved for the single lady. Something tells me that things’ll get a little crowded with any more than one person at this table. Just be sure to keep a folding table and set of chairs in the linen closet for guests.
