4 Different Ways to Wear a Graphic Tee

Posted February 10, 2021 by in Fashion

When the New Year hit, one of my goals was to start utilizing my closet more. After a year of leggings, sweatpants, and t-shirts, I was feeling down and blah. While I still stay cozy while I’m working from home (I’m currently wearing sweatpants and a sweatshirt as I type this), whenever I leave, I have been making an effort to actually put on outfits. Real outfits, not just jeans and a t-shirt, or a matching workout set. An outfit with accessories and fun shoes. You know…the whole shebang!

To start myself off on the right foot for 2021, I had a small (affordable) SHEIN shopping spree. One of the items being this black graphic tee. I love the desert, so this shirt was a must-have for me. Plus, it was only $9!

I initially bought it so I had something casual (but cute) to wear with jeans for grocery shopping and coffee runs. However graphic tees can be so much more than just an item you throw on with jeans for those errands. As long as it fits you well, a graphic tee can look polished enough for work.

With Black Denim

This look is extremely comfortable and casual, but there is still some style. This is also the look I had in mind when I first ordered the shirt.

With a Statement Skirt

Pair your graphic tee with that bold statement skirt you have in the back of your closet. My statement skirt was thrifted for less than $10 over the summer. I love it, but I have definitely not worn it enough. Now that I created this outfit, it’s in my weekly rotation.

And these white boots? My new favorite! I purchased them for $43.99 on Amazon for an upcoming 70’s shoot I’m going to be doing. I have a pair of white western boots that would also work with this look.

This skirt was a part of the Victoria Beckham x Target collaboration a few years back. Since this collab is old, you can no longer find it at Target, but I found some on EBay for you.

With a Black Pleated Maxi Skirt

I feel like black maxi skirts, especially pleated black maxi skirts, are a staple in everyone’s wardrobe these days. Having a black pleated maxi skirt in your wardrobe is just as important as having a LBD and a strapless bra. They can be dressed up or down—in this case, I dressed my skirt down.

Wearing just the graphic tee and the maxi skirt wasn’t enough. To tie it all together, I accessorized with a bold belt and decided on wearing heeled boots instead of sandals or flats.

With Distressed Light Denim

These Old Navy jeans are so cozy! I ended up wearing my taupe boots (thrifted!) to give the look an edge. I initially put on sneakers, but found the outfit became too casual. It’s crazy what simply changing your shoes can do for an outfit.
