4 Different Ways to Wear a Little Black Dress

There is no shade as classic as black, and having a little dress in this particular shade is a must for every gal.

The one I’m wearing below is from Brandy Melville, and it has a shift style with a slight high-low cut. I have worn it with pretty much everything: kimonos, hats, flats, heels; you name it! So when it comes to re-wearing your favorite LBD, the options are always endless.

1. Make it a Summer Staple

When we think about colors of Summer, black may be towards the end of the list. Sure, bright colors and floral prints own the hot season, but how can you say no to a LBD?

Just add a statement necklace and a colorful bag, and you’re all set!

2. Go All Black

Below I paired my simple black dress with pointy black ankle booties and a black faux-leather jacket from PacSun. Mixing and matching different materials and textures in black is always a good idea!

3.  Accessorize, Accessorize, Accessorize

The fringed black kimono gave the dress a monochromatic look, and the splash of teal from the hat, and sparkle from the necklace transformed this outfit from ordinary to unique and glamorous.

When adding accessories, choose pieces that will complement your style or outfit. For example, avoid combinations of huge necklaces and earrings. Or if you choose to fill your wrist with lovely arm candy, go for small earrings or a necklace aiming for that minimalistic style. Here is a great video with some recommendations.
