People move to a vegan lifestyle for three reasons: It can be either physical, that is because of their body needs, or their doctor’s recommendation. It can be emotional, that is they want to stop killing animals. Or spiritual, that is their spiritual practice or spiritual teacher preaches them to quit eating foods that include shedding animals.

Whatever the reason may be, let’s all admit it, veganism has some non-negotiable benefits to it. After all, there’s a reason why almost 14% of the population is vegan, vegetarian, and all related categories.

So, here’s some good news for you: most vegan foods are not so calorie-dense; they are definitely filling yet not so high on calories.

So, once you switch to veganism, your daily calorie intake would be far less than what you were consuming before. You can achieve a healthy weight even without adopting crash diets or any other harmful and unhealthy measures.

When you switch to a vegan diet, your food choices heavily rely upon whole grains, fruits, veggies, nuts, seeds, pulses, and beans.

These nutrient dense foods are rich in fiber, antioxidants, beneficial plant compounds, or other essential nutrients like potassium, magnesium, and folate. Also, we are missing out on high iron being on the scale when you switch to a vegan diet.

Since a vegan diet has more fruits and vegetables in it, it is one of the significant reasons why a vegan diet can help prevent several types of cancer like stomach, lung, and others.
