7 Tips for Having a Proper Face Cleanse

2. Wipe Off Your Makeup

If you want clean skin, you need to remove the surface layers first. Most women apply makeup each day, and no matter how much or little you use, it needs to get wiped off. Falling asleep with makeup can lead to acne breakouts, so at the bare minimum, use some micellar to clean up. Micellar water has ingredients that break down makeup and debris. 

Once you get your makeup off of your face, your cleaning routine will become more effective. Simply washing your face without taking off makeup could lead to clogged pores.

3. Get the Correct Cleanser 

When you wash your face, do you use a particular cleanser or anything nearby?

4. Exfoliate When Needed

You can wash your face every day, however, exfoliation shouldn’t be a regular task.

Every couple of days, you should use a soft exfoliator wash to reduce dead skin cells and wrinkles. Coconut shells, coffee grounds, and charcoal are some of the best exfoliators on the market since they are also natural. Sugar and salt scrubs are another way to liven up your skin. 

Exfoliating too often, however, can become a major problem. Since each time you exfoliate, you lose skin cells, you could leave your skin chapped and cracked. Only exfoliate when you need to and rinse it off immediately if your skin gets irritated. 

Another way that you can gently exfoliate without a cleanser is with a washcloth. Baby washcloths and makeup rags are perfect for cleaning pores without damaging them. 

5. Use Lukewarm Water

Although it might be tempting to wash your face with hot water, this can dry your skin and prevent natural oils from getting released.

Lukewarm water is recommended when using a facial cleanser since it doesn’t shock your skin. Splashing cold water on your face can be refreshing and help tighten the skin, however, bacteria and dirt can remain trapped under the pores. 

Lukewarm water will help your skin naturally balance oil production and shouldn’t lead to clogged pores. 

6. Apply Toner 

After you finish washing your face and pat it dry, you might want to consider applying toner.

Depending on the type of toner you get, you can enhance your skin. Once you get a good clean, your pores are open and can absorb nutrients more efficiently. Rosewater is a common toner since it’s refreshing and can help prevent aging skin. 

Chamomile is another oil that you can apply after washing your face. This scent is calming and a wonderful option to use before bedtime. 7. Moisturize

The last and most critical step in washing your face is to moisturize afterward.

Don’t forget to apply sunscreen while your face is bare. This step is crucial even on cloudy and cold days since the sun’s rays can cause damage to the skin. People that regularly use sunscreen show signs of aging at a later.
