This past Sunday was an extremely significant day. Not only was it Mother’s Day, but it was also the first day of 2014 that I wore sandals. O-M-G, time to praise the warm weather Gods!
I don’t know about you, but the Mid-West and East Coast had a rough winter. Rain, snow, sleet, slush, wind and ice on repeat from December to April.
It has warmed up this May, but nothing to call home about. But these past three days? sandals, sandals, sandals! Below are the 9 sandals every girl needs to own this summer, from simple and casual to ultra-fancy:
If you don’t have a colorful pair of sandals in your wardrobe, it’s time to change that. Colorful footwear can take any outfit from blah to exciting in seconds. Mint, red, orange, purple…any color will do.
Add some edge to any outfit by wearing a printed pair of heeled sandals, neon yellow gladiators, or even flat sandals with gold studs!
90’s revival is still in full swing, so take advantage of it while you still can! We recommend adding a pair of jellies to your favorite sundress.
Everyone needs a pair of sexy heeled sandals for nights out!
If you plan on spending anytime at the beach this summer, flip flops are a must.
We tend to spend most of our summers wearing shoes that are extremely bad for our feet. Flat shoes offer zero support! So, if you’re going to spend your summer doing a lot of walking (we’re talking to you city girls), consider investing in a pair of Birkenstocks. They’re back in style and extremely good for your feet!
Simple black and brown sandals are extremely comfortable and perfect for everyday wear. Go for a pair with soft leather straps for extra comfort!
These bad boys have had a few seasons off, but they’re back! Stay away from the dramatic gladiators that go up to your knee and stick with a pair that end at your ankle. They’re very boho chic and look great with jeans!
When it comes to heels, wedges are the most comfortable. Wear them with denim shorts, jeans or a 70’s inspired sundress to amp up a relaxed look.
