Achieving The Ultimate Beach Body Is Simpler Than You Think

Posted January 6, 2016 by in Lifestyle

Okay so it might be the middle of winter, but that doesn’t mean that we’re not already thinking about our beach bodies. In fact, at this time of year, thanks to all those New Year’s resolutions, our main focus is often, our body shapes.

While some people are freaking out about achieving the ‘perfect’ beach body before Spring, there’s no need to. Yes, it’s important to be healthy and keep your body in good shape. But it’s also important to be confident with what God gave you. Every body shape is different, and it’s important to realize that.

Want to feel beach body confident? It’s not about how much you weigh or what dress size you wear; it’s all down to your swimwear. Pick the perfect bikini, and trust me, you’ll feel confident in on the beach in no time.

Of course, getting your swimwear right can be tricky, especially as there are so many cuts to choose from. To make it a little easier, below are a few tips for selecting the perfect swimwear for your body shape. Take note of these, and trust me, next time you’re on the beach, you’ll feel fabulous.

Pear Shape (curvy at the bottom, smaller on top)

If you’ve been blessed with a pear shape figure, like Beyonce, you want a swimsuit that balances your shape. For covering your bottom half, a pair of bikini bottoms with a skirt attached could be perfect. Don’t make the mistake of opting for a boxer short style bottom, as this will only draw more attention to the area. To draw the eye upward, opt for a bikini (or tankini) top that is eye-catching. (Bows, stripes and ruffles tend to work well.)

Larger On Top

Are you a little larger on top? Then the key to swimsuit success is support. Opt for swimsuits that are underwired to give you maximum support. If you want to minimize your chest, avoid bikini tops that stand out. Instead, opt for eye-catching bottoms. If you have a larger bust, often, one-piece suits can offer more support, and can make your feel more confident than a bikini.

Athletic (more straight up and down)

If, like Cameron Diaz, you have been blessed with an athletic build, embrace it. Women with an athletic build tend to have fewer curves and be more straight up and down. The key to success when it comes to swimwear is wearing outfits that make your body look curvier. Swimwear with bright, bold prints and embellishments, like ruffles, can help to make your figure appear curvier. As can swimsuits with cutouts within them – just make sure to be choosy about where the cut outs are.

Hi, summer!

Small Bust

Do you have a small bust? The chances are that you want to make your girls appear a little larger, am I right? The good news is that with an eye-catching bikini top – perhaps something with a large bow or ruffles on, you can easily make your bust appear larger. Or, a bra-style top with extra padding can work wonders. Opt for bikini bottoms that are simple and elegant, and won’t draw attention away from your top half.

Apple Shape (a little more rounded)

So you have an apple shape body and tend to carry most of your weight around your middle – don’t stress, you can still look great on the beach. It’s just a case of selecting the perfect swimwear to mask your ‘problem’ area. To slim down your middle, high waisted bikinis and tankinis are your best bet. Opt for printed designs in darker colors, to help slim your middle.

Being beach body confident is never easy, but it’s important to realize that whatever your body shape, it is doable. All you need is swimwear that makes you feel good about yourself, and you’ll love your beach body.
