The 70’s have been infiltrating our trends for quite some time, but bell bottoms are in the process of coming back in a big way…and I’m not even mad.
I’ve always been a fan of flared jeans. When skinny jeans took over around 2008, I was definitely one of the last to buy a pair. To be honest, I really didn’t want to jump on the skinny jean band wagon—but I did, because…peer pressure. By 2010, the only people still wearing bootcut and flare jeans were “mom’s” and I did not want to be associated with them when I was 20. Which is funny, because “mom jeans” are now an actual trend…they are just what moms wore in the 80’s + 90’s…not the 2000’s. Trends are interesting, huh? Okay…back to the 70’s.
I’ve been wanting to do a budget friendly photoshoot inspired by the 1970’s for a long time, and I’m beyond happy with the result. Christian Siguenza (the photographer) really made my vision come to life while we were in Joshua Tree, California. We actually did a few different looks inspired by the 1970’s—which I will share in the coming weeks, but this look is my favorite. I hope you like it!
All of the below items below are affordable and they will give you some serious Dazed and Confused vibes…and so sorry for all the peace signs. I just want you to be groovy, man ✌️
