Being a stylist, I know how expensive it is to get your hair done at a salon, but every stylist begins somewhere: beauty school. At your local hair school, cuts are usually under 20$. Check to see if your city/town has a Paul Mitchell the School, Aveda Institute, or just a private school.
You could also stop into a salon to see if they have an apprentice stylist. An apprentice is either waiting to be licensed or is newly licensed (It just depends on your state). Apprentice prices are usually under $35.
