I’m about to move into a new apartment and my head is spinning with excitement. If the universe didn’t make me a writer and blogger, my secondary dream was to be an interior designer. And who knows, maybe that is a path I will journey down later in life. Until then, I get so much joy from friends asking me for decor tips, decorating my own space, and writing articles like this one.
I was very proud of the space I created for myself when the pandemic started. My thought was “if I’m going to be stuck here for the unforeseeable future, I might as well make it a place that inspires me.” Amiright? You can see how I decorated my bedroom when I was living in Silver Lake, Los Angeles here.
Since my lease was up March 1st, and my boyfriend’s lease isn’t up until April 1st, I’m in a decor limbo, since I’m staying with him (with all my stuff in boxes) until we can move into our place together. What is making the wait even harder is the new apartment. My boyfriend and I found the most amazing apartment in Pasadena, California and I just can’t wait to get settled and to start decorating. This place is exactly what I have always wanted—an outdoor space (we will have a backyard!), high ceilings, crown molding, real wood floors, and lots of natural light. I’ll definitely be sharing my decor journey in the new place, so be sure to follow along not only here, but Instagram as well.
Without further ado, here are the decor items that are currently on my wishlist:
