How do I get started?

Keek can be used online or via a mobile app – to get started, visit the website or download the mobile app. Before you can get going with it, you will need to sign-up by creating a username and password. If you already have a following on other social media sites, it might be a good idea to use the same username. As this will make you more consistent and easier to find.

Once you have created your account, you can then add any additional personal information to your profile, as well as a profile picture. If you already have a social media following, make sure to include links to your other social media sites.

How does it work?

Micro videos created on the site are known as ‘Keeks’. To create a video, click the ‘New Keek’ button at the bottom of the page. This will then activate the camera on your phone or computer so that you can start recording.

Remember, Keeks are only meant to be short videos, so the longest time your can record for is 36 seconds. Once you have finished recording, you can then re-watch your micro video before deciding what to do with it. You can upload it, delete it or save it for later – it’s up to you. The site lets users watch micro videos by entering the username of the person into the search bar, a hashtag or keyword. Users can also find the most popular Keeks by visiting the ‘latest Keeks’ section of the site. To get more followers, this is what you should aim to get your account onto.
