Here’s the Secret to a Frizz-free High Bun

Posted September 18, 2013 by in Beauty

Are you a fan of high buns? We are! They’re the perfect hair trend to rock when you want to look sleek and sophisticated in a hurry. Our problem with high buns is frizz and fly-aways around the hairline. If you spray them down with hairspray, your effortless look turns stiff and blah. If you use oil, your hair-do just looks greasy.

Well, we’ve finally found the perfect product to combat fly-aways: Agadir’s Styling Mousse.

Unlike the mousse you’re used to, this one contains argan oil. The oil in the mousse will smooth those fly-aways without adding grease or stiffness. It would also be a great addition to your blow-dry routine.

Below is our model Madison rockin’ a high bun. Madison has naturally wavy hair that tends to get frizzy when not using product. Her hair has also endured some damage due to a box color fiasco a few months ago — meaning she has to put product in her hair to fake that healthy look. We asked her to use Agadir’s styling mousse the next time she wore a high bun. Below is the result:

To get the look yourself, follow the directions below:

1. Pull your hair up into a high ponytail so it lands between your hairline and your crown.

2. Twist your hair gently until it starts to coil around itself.

3. Wrap it around your hair tie loosely to get a fuller shape, and secure it with two to three bobby pins or another hair tie.

4. Finish the look by applying a dollop size of Agadir’s Styling Mousse to the front of the hair and bun.

*For a more structured look, we recommend you use a hair donut.
