Sun damage, acne scars, and uneven skin are a few skin woes that many of us face daily. Instead of trying to cover it up with makeup, why not actually fix the problem?

At this point in time, you’ve probably heard of microdermabrasion. Microdermabrasion treatments use a combination of a fine abrasive tip or crystals and a suction to polish and vacuum away the skin’s uppermost layer. The end results include diminished hyper-pigmentation such as brown spots, as well as diminished fine lines, acne, and shallow acne scars.

If you suffer from any of the above skin woes above, then you’ll love microdermabrasion. But here’s the deal. It’s expensive! You’re looking at about $50-$200 per treatment, and you’ll definitely need multiple treatments before you start seeing those results. Yikes! Poor wallet.

But I’ve recently been introduced to something amazing — the Silk’n ReVit. This device brings the luxury of microdermabrasion to your home. Just like getting a treatment done with a dermatologist or at a spa, the Silk’n ReVit combines gentle exfoliation with vacuum stimulation to reduce the appearance of age spots, fine lines, and acne scars.

You’re able to get those professional results without the appointment! Now you’re probably thinking this device is extremely expensive, but it’s not. It’s only $129! Yes, that is definitely an investment, but you can use it for years and it costs the same amount as one treatment at a fancy spa.

This handheld device that promises the same kinds of results as an in-office treatment comes with three different diamond shaped attachments: precision, fine and coarse. With each attachment designed to treat specific parts of the face, neck, and hand. Yes, it can be used on your hands too!

Review

I’ve been using the device for over a week now and I’m loving how my skin looks and feels! At first, I was worried it would irritate my skin and cause redness. I was also a bit worried it would hurt. But neither happened.

It kind of feels like a cat is licking your face — which was weird — but it didn’t hurt. I followed the directions and started using the fine attachment first and used the lowest suction setting. I spent about three minutes on each section of my face (forehead, eye area, nose, cheeks and chin) and then spent five minutes on each hand.

Immediately after treatment, I rinsed my face with cold water and applied a moisturizer. For the next hour, I felt like I had a slight sunburn, but that feeling was gone my the time I woke up in the morning. My hands felt the same.

After using it a few times, I’ve noticed smoother skin on my face. But the big difference has been with my hands. They’re so much softer and smoother!

The device comes with a filter that needs to be replaced. This filter collects all the dead skin that is being sucked up and omg, it’s so gross! The filter is black to start, but after one use it was pure white. I wanted to share that photo with you, but it’s pretty yucky.

Anyways, I can definitely tell it’s doing something and I’m excited to see the results after a full month of using it twice a week.

I’ve actually heard that it does reduce the appearance of larger pores! But have you used a pore minimizing pore cream yet? Maybelline’s Instant Pore Eraser is my favorite!

    It’s a good alternative to visiting a professional dermatology/spa center. flawlessbeautyconcept.com.au/microdermabrasion_facial.html
