How to Keep Things Simple as a Student

Posted March 23, 2017 by in Lifestyle

Student life can be a lot more complicated than people realize. It’s not just about partying and studying. There are little things and bigger issues that can make student life a mess. That’s why you might want to think about simplifying things so you can get everything you need from school.

Below are some tips that may make those four years less stressful:

Forget About Relationships

Be it long distance or with the person in the next dorm room, it’s not a good idea to start a relationship in university. I know what you’re thinking, isn’t this where people find love? It can be, but you can also end up with a broken heart unable to study for a few months. That can really rough up your grade average.

If a relationship comes naturally, then great! But don’t seek it out.

Join A Study Group

Yes, you should be joining a study group at uni. Trust me, you’ll find it a lot easier to get those textbooks open if you have people sitting next to you. Just make sure that you do pick the right people to work with. You don’t want someone in the group eager to treat it as a gossiping session.

Don’t Overspend

Stop overspending in university, you’re a student not a prince from Dubai. That means that you don’t need the latest expensive phone. Half the time you’re just going to worry about losing or breaking it. Instead, recycle that expensive iPhone 7 and get a cheaper, simpler model. With the Nokia 33 on its way back now is a perfect time. You can learn more about recycling in this infographic.
