Denim jackets are a timeless piece of clothing that every woman should own. They’re the perfect choice for any season and can be worn with just about anything. But finding one that fits well and is made from good quality fabric isn’t as easy as it sounds. Luckily, there are some simple things you can look out for when shopping denim jackets for ladies in Australia:

Check the Back Pocket

The back pocket on your denim jacket should be straight, not too wide or narrow. If it’s crooked then it means the fabric has been stretched out by someone wearing pants that are too tight or too loose, which can lead to shrinkage over time (and no one wants that).

Look at the Weight of the Fabric

Denim jackets usually come in two weights: light and heavy-duty. If you’re looking for something lighter weight then opt for a jacket without any stitching at all; if, however you want something heavier duty go with one that has some stitching on it (this will add durability).

Consider the Color

Denim comes in many colors but not all colors are created equal! A dark wash is best because it won’t fade quickly like lighter washes do after repeated washings (which means less money spent on replacing your favorite jacket).

Touch Test

Just like choosing a pair of jeans, your first instinct should be to touch it. Once you have touched the jacket and determined that it is soft and not stiff, you can look closer at how it was made.

Check out how the jacket has been sewn together. Are there any loose threads? Any areas where there are loose stitches? These are all signs of poor quality on a jacket. You should also check to see if there are any pockets on the exterior of the jacket or just on the inside. If there are pockets on both sides, this means that they have used twice as much material when they created this jacket.

Check the seams

It’s hard to find a perfect seam, but you should look for one that is flat and lies close to the denim. If it has a zig-zag look, the jacket is probably poor quality. Also, look at where two pieces of fabric come together and make sure they are lined up properly.

Examine the buttons

If the buttons are plastic, they’re not going to last very long. Look for sturdy buttons made of metal or leather. These will last a lot longer.

Feel the material

Most cheap denim jackets are made out of polyester which means they won’t last as long as cotton or linen.

Check out the tag

It’s easy to find good quality jeans, but jackets can be tough because there are so many different types of fabric and dyes used in making them. It’s important to pay attention to what type of material was used when looking at tags so you know if you’re getting something that will stand up over time or fall apart quickly like some other types of denim clothing might do if they’re poorly constructed (e.g., polyester).
