Why waste your time and money on chemical-laden commercial beauty products when you can make your own? You can make your own fruit face masks with all-natural ingredients that are found in your home and they’ll leave your skin looking and feeling beautiful. Keep reading for some of our favorite and most effective homemade fruit face masks:

Avocado Face Mask

Technically, avocados are a fruit because they have a seed. They’re also creamy, buttery, and highly moisturizing. Plus, they’re rich in skin-loving nutrients such as good fats, as well as vitamins E and C. What’s great about this avocado mask is that it’s suitable for all skin types and it’ll leave your skin looking younger and stronger.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • ½ avocado
  • ¼ tbsp of oatmeal (Oatmeal is a natural skin exfoliator)

In a bowl, mash the avocado with a fork and pulse the oatmeal separately into a fine powder before adding it to the mashed avocado. Mix the ingredients together to create a mask with a thick consistency.

Apply it to your skin and leave it on for 15 minutes. You can use it as often as you like.

Strawberry Face Mask

This rejuvenating strawberry face mask is the perfect pick me up for dry and dull skin. That’s because strawberries are packed with antioxidants, vitamin C and alpha-hydroxy acids which help to exfoliate the skin.

This recipe is easy to make and as the name implies, it only requires a few ingredients that you already have in your kitchen.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 2 strawberries
  • 1 teaspoon of aloe vera gel
  • 1 teaspoon of glycerine

In a small bowl, mash the strawberries into a pulp, and then add the aloe vera gel and glycerine. Let the mixture rest for 10 minutes, gently scrub, and remove the mask.

Strawberry and Honey Face Mask

Here’s another fabulous strawberry face mask with the moisturizing power of honey. Activate your natural glow, lighten scars and cleanse your skin with this mask.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 3 tablespoons of warm honey
  • 3 tablespoons of organic yogurt
  • 4 strawberries

Slice your strawberries and then mash them up in a mortar and pestle. You can also use a fork and a bowl if you don’t have a mortar and pestle.

Pour the yogurt into the honey and then add the strawberries. Whip everything together with a fork and apply just a thin layer on your skin. Leave it on for 15 minutes and rinse off with warm water.

This mask smells incredible. We already know what the strawberry can do for your skin, but did you know that yogurt contains good bacteria known as acidophilus which is very calming to the skin? It also contains lactic acid which exfoliates the skin and the honey is really hydrating. Together, these ingredients will leave your skin all glowy and fresh-faced.

Papaya Face Mask

Papaya has skin rejuvenating properties that will leave your skin remarkably smoother and with a noticeable glow after just one use.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • ½ papaya
  • 1 teaspoon of honey
  • 1 teaspoon of lemon juice

In a bowl, mash the papaya, and then add the teaspoon of honey and lemon juice. Mix together and apply to your face. Leave the mask on for 30 minutes and then rinse off with warm water.

Kiwi and Avocado Mask

The ingredients in this face mask are filled with nutrients that can help with a variety of skin problems. You can also use this face mask to help remove a persistent tan from your face and it can be used for the same effect on your feet and hands. Use twice a week for best results.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • ½ avocado
  • 1 kiwi

Mash the kiwi and avocado in a bowl to create a mask and apply it to your skin. Leave it on for 15 minutes and wash it off with warm water.

Fruit Mask Making Tips
