Ever go to the gym, stay an entire hour and leave feeling as if you didn’t work up that much of a sweat? You’re not alone. According to a survey conducted by Harpers Fitness, 30% of people spend most of their gym time doing activities that don’t involve lifting or getting the heart rate up. Unintentionally, of course!
We teamed up with Ary Nunez, Rihanna’s personal trainer and NYC-based fitness guru to teach you how to not waste your time at the gym!
1. Focus on you
Avoid eye contact if socializing will distract you.
2. Arrive ready
Come dressed to jump right into your workout. Going into the locker room will slow you down.
*If you bring your workout gear to work or school, change there and then head to the gym.
3. Have a workout plan
Think “cardio first, weights second, dance last” or whatever rocks your boat.
