You can deny this as much as you want, but scents and perfumes are super complicated and that’s what makes them so desirable. And why not? Let’s all face it, a good, strong scent is a big turn-on. On the flip side, a bad odor is a big-time turn-off.

Further, we all have our own signature scents. Something which lingers in our clothes, in our homes, and in the places we visit.

When you enter a room, your perfume can also make heads turn, because the scent reaches people even before you. So, if you’re willing to make a lasting first impression, all you need to do is to choose a good, attractive, not necessarily strong, perfume.

We all have that one person in our lives who makes us wonder how does this person smell so good, all the time? Even post working out, which made them sweat like a pig? The thing is, they invested in a good perfume. By investing, we aren’t just talking about money. We are also talking about the time and effort that went behind choosing the perfume.

If you want to know the secrets then stick with me, I will unveil them all here!

1. Restrict yourself to only three perfumes at a time

I know the urge to try all the perfumes displayed in the store – all at once. But ultimately, you’ll never be able to pick one and keep moving from one bottle to another. This is because you’re so spoiled with choices, you don’t know which one to buy.

So, instead, I would suggest you only pick three scents at a time. All these three scents can be of a different theme but make sure to use each depending on the occasion.

2. Try some lighter scents as well

Most people around the globe believe that good perfumes are supposed to be strong. But that is far from the truth. You need strong perfumes only for certain occasions. These occasions include weddings, announcements, or other big celebrations.

Basically, places of high gathering, where you need a strong perfume to be recognized. For all the other places and occasions, like offices, vacations, and get-togethers, buy something more aqueous, musky, and light.

3. Explore perfumes at all prices

Step into a store, you might get a fragrance for $5, walk into another, and you might get a similar fragrance for $30, with the Ariana Grande perfume label. It is not just about the brand that impacts the price, a lot of things go behind it – the craftsmanship, the emotions, and also the depth.

For instance, a $30 bottle will be a lot more long-lasting than the ones with a lower price range and will stay on your clothes, even after laundry.

That being said, I am not asking you to only pick bottles with a great price tag, but don’t completely overlook them either. Explore a few tester bottles, read about them, and then decide for yourself.

4. So, what is your signature scent?

Well, let me tell you, nobody, absolutely nobody can answer this question for you except you. Ask yourself several questions: How do you want to come out? Do you want to come out as more playful? Or do you want to be someone who appears to have a strong sex appeal?

The answer to these questions will help you find your signature scent. Remember, your scent plays an important role in defining your positioning out there. So, the scent is not just who you are, but also who you want to be.

In the end, I would like to tell you that your scent is more important than you think. Even before you say something, people recognize you with your scent. The last thing you want is to smell like an unwashed armpit of a college wrestler. So, it is always wise to invest in a good perfume and make sure you always spray it before stepping out.
