The Law of Attraction is a universal law that states whatever you put out to the universe (in the form of thought) is attracted back to you. If you have ever heard someone say ‘they have all the luck’ or ‘nothing ever goes right for me.’ This is the essence of the law of attraction.
People who are generally positive will often attract more positive circumstances to them, and the opposite is said to be true for people who host primarily negative thoughts.
The law of attraction works on the premise that everything is simply energy. By having a positive energy, we will attract positive circumstances into our lives.
In a nutshell, positive attracts positive and negative attracts negative.
How Do You Use The Law of Attraction
There are many theories on how to use the law of attraction. It can be as subtle as a coincidence, for example, you think about a friend you haven’t seen in a while and how you would like to catch up, and then out of the blue, they call you.
However, if you want to manifest more consistently, there are some ways you can do this.
Practicing gratitude is a great way to put the right form of energy into the universe, simply taking note each morning of the things that you are happy to have in your life. This simple technique will set you off on a great footing each day and attract positive circumstances to you in general.
If, however, you want to attract specific things, visualization is a very powerful tool. Imagine yourself driving around in that dream car or living in the house you have always wanted. Try not only to see it in your mind but feel what that would be like. ‘Fake it til you make it’, so to speak.
There is also a system from Helene Hadsell (who has won everything from cars to houses in competitions as a result of her technique), which involves four steps.
These steps are:
Select It– Think really deeply about what you want. Not just a new car, but a certain make, model, and color. Be specific about what you are looking to attract.
Project It – Put this out to the universe by thinking deeply about it. Pretend you already own this item, visualise yourself in it, think about the senses associated with that experience, what would you see, hear, smell, touch, and feel if you were using this item.
Expect It– Believe it is going to happen. Doubt should not enter your mind, it is not a matter of it, just a matter of when it will happen.
Collect It– graciously accept the gifts from the universe and practice gratitude for them.
