Typically, my favorite part of a magazine involves the last few pages, when there’s a beautiful editorial spread. All the models have their hair and makeup done in a unique way, and outfits are almost always stunning.
But once we look in the corner to find out where the clothes are from — and see the price — we quickly get depressed and shut the magazine.
In the past, I would go to these pages to get inspiration before a shopping trip, being well aware I could never afford what the models were actually wearing. Well, we at Broke & Chic teamed up with fashion photographer Marcus Cooper, makeup artist Kyle Harder and Redlight PR to show you that you don’t have to wear head-to-toe designer to look like a million bucks.
Just watch our NYC-based model, Ulla in action!
