For any couples who don’t want to fly thousands of miles away after their nuptials, England’s buzzing capital is a very underrated option. It might not boast the tropical climate of the Maldives or the Caribbean, but there’s plenty for any city-lover to enjoy.

As the best connected city in the UK too with regular trains to London Kings Cross from around the country, London is a convenient distance away and doesn’t require weeks to plan. And seeing as you’re on your honeymoon, a first-class ticket will make it extra special.

What do you want from your honeymoon?

A honeymoon should ultimately reflect you as a couple and be packed with activities that you love doing together. So, in order to choose your destination, first think about what kind of vibe you want your honeymoon to be.

Would you like to mark the occasion wit a touch of luxury? Or would you rather recover from the stress of organising the wedding and spend the whole time lying on the beach? Maybe you would rather tick a few things of your bucket list with an adventure holiday.

Whatever you decide is right for you, this will ultimately narrow down the destination. Of course, if you fancy a city break, London has everything and more to make it an unforgettable vacation!

What does London has to offer?

Perhaps the question should be ‘what doesn’t London have to offer? A mixing pot of art, culture, fine dining, historical monuments and entertainment, just about anything can be found in London. Take in the majesty of Buckingham Palace, the grandeur of Westminster Abbey or the graffiti on Brick Road. There’s nothing out of bounds here.

Of course, no trip to London is complete without a visit to the West End. With some of the longest-running shows in the world, plus award-winning musicals, dramas and even murder mysteries, there’s bound to be a theatrical treat that will tickle your fancy.

As for the food, you definitely won’t be leaving early. Boasting some of the best gastronomical talent in Europe and the world, London is home to some of the most prestigious and celebrated restaurants and attracts thousands of overseas visitors every year.

Your daytime activities are sorted too if you fancy learning something new. With so many great museums, many of which are free to enter, take the opportunity to learn something new at The National Portrait Gallery or the Science Museum.

Finally, for a bit of peace and quiet away from the city’s hustle and bustle, St James’ Park and Regent’s Par offer endless relaxation for you and your partner to enjoy some quality time just the two of you. What’s more, they’re easily accessible from the city centre
