Coffee Meets Bagel, a leader in the new wave of social online dating companies, created a simple yet exciting dating auction for the holidays and a few lucky “bidders” will win dates with some of the nation’s hottest singles.
The founders of Coffee Meets Bagel selected their top 12 singles (six guys and girls from San Francisco and New York) from their popular dating site. Each of them agreed to be part of the contest and willing to go out on a date with the randomly selected winners.
Visitors to the site just have to place a “bid” on their favorite bagel (aka, single) based on their gut feeling about each person featured. No money is exchanged; each bid is essentially a vote. They can place their bid as many times as they want to be entered to win a date with their favorite bagel.
The Bagels will pick their date from 10 randomly selected bidders, so the more someone bids, the better chance they have to win a date.
The group of 12 (six Bagels plus their dates) will attend an exclusive culinary event by Coffee Meets Bagel, one on each coast. In New York, the winners will receive a three-course Fantastic Fusion Fare at My Cooking Party. In San Francisco, they will be treated to a three-course Fancy French Fare at Hands on Gourmet.
