I have always loved Valentine’s Day. I loved it as a kid, I loved it when I was single, and I love it now. To me, it’s not just about showing your partner how much you loved them, it’s about showing and telling all the people in your life how much you love them—your friends, your parents, your siblings, and everyone in-between.
Unfortunately, Valentine’s Day will be looking a bit different for all of us this year—no movie theater dates, no Valentine’s Day brunch with the girls, and no romantic dinners at your favorite restaurant. But that’s okay. There are still so many ways to express love to those closest to you. Here are just a few ideas:
- You can make homemade Valentine’s Day cards and send them to loved ones.
- You and your partner can have a picnic in your living room or at a park with takeaway from your favorite restaurant.
- You can make a delicious dinner with your household.
- You can can throw a Valentine’s Day themed zoom call with your friends.
- You can go on a socially distanced hike.
Even though none of us can spend Valentine’s Day in a way we’re used to, there are still so many things you can do that are still fun. That being said, one thing you can still do is dress up…even if it’s just for yourself.
A Parisian Inspired Valentine’s Day Outfit
I personally love to travel and I have been having severe wanderlust these past few months. While I did have the opportunity to go to Paris back in 2019, I have been itching to go back. Wouldn’t it just be so lovely to spend Valentine’s Day in the City of Love? A leisurely stroll in the Jardin des Tuileries followed by macarons and a cappuccino at a cafe sounds like the perfect way to spend Valentine’s Day. *sigh*
Since I can’t go to Paris this year, I decided to bring Paris to me…

Shop My Look
Even though Paris won’t be happening this year, I had so much fun taking these pictures last weekend with LA photographer, Christian Siguenza. All of the items I’m wearing are affordable and can be found at retailers like Boohoo, Amazon, and SHEIN. My skirt was only $16!
