There are two layers to becoming a beauty influencer. The first is to perfect the craft of making content that people want to see and is helpful. It also has to come in a nice package.
You have your photography skills down, beauty product photography styling props set up nicely, and you know your stuff when it comes to beauty products. Now you need to work on the second layer. Which is to actually turn this talent into a way to make money.
There are a multitude of ways to make money online. When you are an influencer you have a lot of options but you have to pick the right ones that will work for you. In this article, we will go over some of the best ways to make money as a beauty influencer:
The most obvious way to make money from being an influencer is to have brands pay you to make content. The way it works is that a brand will want to work with influencers that have a large following within a certain niche that is what the brand is about. For instance, if your niche is specifically about skincare for teens then a brand that makes an acne cream will be a good fit for your audience and will see it as an opportunity for them to make money.
Reach out to the sponsors that you think your audience would like and see if they are open to collaboration. When you have a large following you will certainly find sponsors reaching out to you. Be selective, though, as you want the sponsorship to be aligned with your audience.
Sell Your Own Products
You can create your own beauty line and sell those products once you reach a certain status within your niche. There are many beauty products manufacturers that do what is called white label products. This means that they will either create a bespoke product according to your specifications and with your label, or, they will simply package their existing product with custom labels as if it were your own.
This can be pricey and you are required to buy a minimum amount for this to work. However, when you have a big following that trusts you then you can likely sell a lot of stock this way.
An alternative is to sell your knowledge as a product. This can be in the form of an ebook or even courses that you can sell. Figure out what knowledge that you have that your audience needs and is willing to pay for and package it up for them to purchase.
There are many brands out there that will reward you for sending them traffic that converts into sales from you. For instance, if you belong to an affiliate network that includes a beauty product manufacturer you love, then you can apply and get a special tracking code.
When you post this link and people follow it to a product page, you get a small commission if they make a purchase. Those small commissions add up when you send lots of traffic to the product page.
