The 7 Worst Fashion Trends of 2012 According to You

Posted January 8, 2013 by in Trends

We asked you via Facebook and Twitter what your least favorite fashion trends of 2012 were. Here’s what you said:

1. Mustache jewelry and prints

We agree x 1033928392482842!

2. Sneaker Wedges

Isabel Marant must have had the whole world drugged, because everyone and their mother had a pair in 2012. But we agree…the sneaker wedge trend was U-G-L-Y. Personally, we liked the high top sneaker and Converse trend much better.

But we aren’t going to lie, these sneaker wedges are adorable.

Isabel Marant Wedge: $650 (similar for less)

3. Crazy Uggs

The fact that Uggs are still a thing is already a bit crazy, but Uggs with zebra or sequins…come on! If you’re under the age of ten, you’re excused.

 Exotic Uggs: $240

Sequin Uggs: $190

4. Neon Satchels

It gives us a headache just looking at someone with one. Also, they’re expensive.

Why spend almost $200 on a bag that will only work with a few outfits? Stick with a pastel satchel instead; they’re cute AND easy on the eyes.

5. Crop Tops

We so agree! If you pair them with low rise jeans you look like you have seriously bad posture — even if you don’t. They’re also a tad frumpy. Pair them with high-waisted pants or shorts instead for a classier look.

6. Camouflage

We at B&C don’t hate it. But, we understand why others might.

7. Half Shaved Hair

This trend is a few years old, but we still don’t like it. Avril Lavigne and Ellie Goulding are the most recent victims.
