I’m not quite sure what to call this bag style as I’ve seen this trend called many things—ruched baguette bag, slouchy circle bag, scrunch bag, and even crescent bag. I’m just going to go with scrunchie bag as I see that name most often on sites like Target and SHEIN and I simply love scrunchies…it’s a cool word and the OG scrunchie can be found on my wrist at all times
This trend started to make its way into our shopping carts back in 2019…but at a hefty cost. Some of the notable designers include Alexander Wang (he calls it a scrunchie bag) and Mansur Gavriel. Thankfully, this trends has become more accessible to everyone—I’m seeing people with them everywhere! At first, I wasn’t really into them. If I’m being honest, I thought they were kind of ugly, but these bags have grown on me. To the point where this style bag is now on my Christmas list. 😂
