Galaxy Leggings are by no means a new trend. They’ve been over-populating our Tumblr feeds for months. I personally like them, but have never once seen someone wear them in person, even while living in one of the hipest New York City neighborhoods: Lower East Side.
These space leggings look like one of the hardest things to pull off — perhaps even more difficult than lavender lipstick. My intuition tells me they should only be allowed on tumblr and maybe, just maybe, Nicki Minaj…
I never in a million years thought a professional girl could actually make them work, but that all changed the other day, when I was browsing Bloglovin. One of my favorite personal style bloggers, Jen of House of Jeffers was wearing them perfectly! I was shocked:
The reason why I love Jen’s style so much is because she’s always adding edge to her sophisticated outfits, and isn’t afraid of color. That said, even Jen admits these aren’t typical for her wardrobe:
They are just BEYOND ANY type of printed pants I own.
She makes these “out there” leggings work by staying simple and sophisticated everywhere else. Her top is work appropriate, and her bag and shoes would look great with a classic LBD. I now believe almost anyone could pull these off. Thanks Jen!
