7 Ways to Wear White This Winter

Posted December 1, 2014 by in Fashion

Who says white can’t be worn after Labor Day? Everyone really. But that old school fashion rule needs to go. Like right now! Just like black and grey, white goes with pretty much everything, so why omit it from your wardrobe for six months out of the year?

If you feel the same, but need some inspiration, we have your back. Below are a few of our favorite fashion bloggers wearing white after Labor Day.

1. Add an Oversized Sweater

Blogger Audrey from Lulu Linden always has amazing outfits, but this one really popped. We love how she paired a white sweater dress with an oversized sweater, long socks, and tall boots. On really cold days, two sweaters is the way to go.

2. Wear it over Plaid

Erica from Pumps & Push Ups wore a white sweater over a plaid button-up. It’s the perfect outfit for a relaxed fall or winter weekend.

To dress it up a bit, consider wearing over-the-knee boots and a statement necklace (or two) like Jess from Prosecco & Plaid.

3. Pair it with Color

If you have a white dress in your closet, consider putting a colorful sweater over it like Kierra from Lavishingg. To give yourself a sporty chic look, add some sneakers!

4. Wear a White Jacket

If you want to incorporate white into your fall and winter wardrobe, consider getting a white jacket or coat. Warmth will always be a necessity when the temps drop!

We love how Tarah-Lynn from Adorned in Armor took it up a notch and wore white from head to toe. The final look is striking!

5. Wear White Jeans

White jeans can be difficult to pull off in the fall and winter, but Danielle from For the Love of Leopard did it perfectly! You can never go wrong with neutrals.

We also love how Maggie, the voice behind Polished Closets wore white jeans.

6. Incorporate Faux-Fur

Faux-fur vests are ultra stylish! Like Shannon, the voice behind Upbeat Soles, pair yours with a striped shirt, jeans, and tall boots for a casual meets chic look.

7. Wear Cream

Cream is a great alternative to the bright white tones you’re used to in the summer. We love how Rach from RD’s Obsessions paired a cream midi-skirt with a black sweater.
