If you suffer from seasonal depression, it’s very likely you’re in the thick of it right now. It’s February, almost March, and spring is exactly 4-weeks away. Thankfully, this past winter has been pretty mild compared to past years, however the cold isn’t necessarily why people suffer from depression around this time. It’s also the fact that there is less light, and everything around you is dead. It’s amazing how your mood can increase if you simply see colorful flowers and green trees.
I recently went to a greenhouse with my parents, and wow, my mood instantly lifted. It was about 15 degrees outside that day (eww), but it was a tropical greenhouse, so it was super warm in there and I was surrounded by so much color and life. It was amazing! I didn’t even realize how bummed and meh I was feeling until walking in.
One major life question I have has to do with seasonal depression. Do people that live in warm climates also suffer from it? I recently relocated to Los Angeles, and I haven’t been here long enough to answer that. However I have experienced winter weather since October (Sweden gets cold and dark quickly) and I arrived in LA just a few days ago, and you know what? I do feel better. But of course I would, I have only had cold, dark, and dead for months. I’ll update you after I complete a full winter here.
If you’re currently struggling with seasonal depression, or you’re simply just uninspired at the moment, here are some inspirational quotes to get you through the remainder of the winter:

You. Are. A. Badass.

Sometimes you CAN’T just save the drama for your mama 😙

There is always a light at the end of the tunnel.

You are magic, baby!

Never keep it bottled up inside.

Follow your heart, follow your dreams, and follow your intuition.

I have some issues with my past self, but she was young and I forgive her.

Look to the future, not the past.

Good vibes only ✌️

You got this, chica!
